Battering Snare
This snare consists of a flat rock or metal plate held in place with a spring or flexible branch. When triggered, the flat object swings wide and smacks the triggering creature violently. The first creature to enter its square receives 2d6 bludgeoning damage (DC 16 reflex). On a critical failure, the creature is also Stunned 1.
Traits
An item with this trait can be used only once. Unless stated otherwise, it's destroyed after activation. Consumable items include alchemical items and magical consumables such as scrolls and talismans. When a character creates consumable items, they can make them in batches of four.
A hazard with this trait is a constructed physical object.
Attacks with this weapon are nonlethal, and are used to knock creatures unconscious instead of kill them. You can use a nonlethal weapon to make a lethal attack with a -2 circumstance penalty.
Traps typically made by rangers, snares follow special rules that allow them to be constructed quickly and used on the battlefield.
A hazard or item with this trait is constructed to hinder interlopers.
