Trigger The trip wires are pulled or severed --- Effect The wires pull away the mechanisms supporting the stairs, causing them to collapse. Each creature standing on the affected area must attempt a DC 29 reflex save. --- Critical Success The creature jumps safely to the cliff and is unaffected. Success The creature jumps to the cliff, but takes 10 bludgeoning damage from the leap. Failure The creature falls to the next section of stairs, 100 feet down the cliff, and takes 50 bludgeoning damage. They can Grab an Edge to avoid falling. Critical Failure As failure, but the fall distance is 200 feet, all the way down the cliff, dealing 100 bludgeoning damage.

Description

The stairs' supports are rigged to collapse if the trip wires are triggered, sending a 10-foot section of stairs tumbling down the cliff.
