Concealment
Rulebook
When a creature is concealed from you, you can see it but not make out details. It might be in fog, dim light, or behind a translucent barrier.
Targeting a concealed creature requires a DC 5 flat check. If you fail, the attack doesn’t affect the creature.
Concealment is different from being hidden — you still know exactly where the creature is and can see its space. You just can’t see it clearly.
Greater Concealment
In some cases (magical invisibility, deeper fog), a creature has greater concealment. This works the same as concealment but also prevents you from using Seek to make the creature observed — at best, you can make it hidden.
Sources of Concealment
- •Dim light (for creatures without low-light vision or darkvision)
- •Fog, mist, or smoke
- •A thin curtain or translucent barrier
