Falling

Rulebook

You take bludgeoning damage from falling equal to half the distance you fell (5 damage per 10 feet). If you take any damage from a fall, you land prone.

Maximum: 750 damage (from a 1,500-foot fall).

Falling on a Creature

If you land on a creature, that creature takes the same damage (basic Reflex save, DC 15). On a success, the creature takes half; on a critical success, it takes no damage and you take full fall damage. On a failure, it takes the same amount as you.

Grab an Edge

If you fall near a ledge or handhold, you can use the Grab an Edge reaction to attempt to catch yourself. This requires a Reflex save or Acrobatics check against an appropriate DC.

Falling into Water

Water can reduce falling damage. A successful Athletics or Acrobatics check (typically DC 15 for calm water) can treat the fall as 20 feet shorter.
