In its normal form, a spy staff is a slim rod of burnished wood with subtle etchings of eyes upon its sides. The first to develop the spy staff were agents of Andoran's Twilight Talons, but such staves have spread to other espionage agencies.

Activate (concentrate)

Effect You change the shape and appearance of this staff to that of an ordinary handheld accessory of your choosing of the same Bulk. The staff's statistics don't change. Only a creature benefiting from truesight or a similar effect can attempt to disbelieve this illusion, with a DC of 27.

Activate Cast a Spell

Effect You expend a number of charges from the staff to cast a spell from its list.

Craft Requirements Supply one casting of all listed ranks of all listed spells.

Traits

Illusion

Effects and magic items with this trait involve false sensory stimuli.

Magical

Something with the magical trait is imbued with magical energies not tied to a specific tradition of magic. Some items or effects are closely tied to a particular tradition of magic. In these cases, the item has the arcane, divine, occult, or primal trait instead of the magical trait. Any of these traits indicate that the item is magical.

Staff

This magic item holds spells of a particular theme and allows a spellcaster to cast additional spells by preparing the staff.

Two-Hand 1d8

This weapon can be wielded with two hands. Doing so changes its weapon damage die to the indicated value. This change applies to all the weapon's damage dice, such as those from striking runes.

Critical Specialization (club)

You knock the target up to 10 feet away from you. This is forced movement.
