When you and an ally are on opposite sides of an enemy, that enemy is flat-footed to both of you (-2 circumstance penalty to AC). Both must threaten the enemy with melee attacks.
You gain dying 1 (dying 2 on a critical hit). Each turn, make a DC 10 flat check — success reduces dying by 1, failure increases it. Dying 4 means death. Allies can stabilize you with Medicine or healing.
You get 3 actions per turn. Common options: Strike (attack), Stride (move), Step (5-ft move without triggering reactions), Raise Shield, Cast a Spell, Interact (draw/use items), and skill actions like Demoralize, Trip, or Grapple.
Standard cover gives +2 circumstance bonus to AC, Reflex saves, and Stealth. Greater cover gives +4. You can Take Cover as an action to upgrade standard to greater cover.
Each character picks an activity: Avoid Notice (Stealth), Defend (raise shield), Detect Magic, Investigate, Scout, Search, and more. Your choice affects initiative — Avoid Notice lets you roll Stealth for initiative.
