Heightening a spell means casting it using a higher-rank slot for increased effects. Some spells heighten at every rank (+1), others at specific ranks (+2, +4). The browser shows heightening entries for each spell that supports it.
Arcane spells focus on elemental damage, utility, and summoning. Occult spells emphasize mental effects, illusions, and emotion manipulation. Use the tradition filter to compare them side by side.
Focus spells are granted by class features, feats, or domains. They use focus points instead of spell slots and can be refocused during exploration. The browser includes focus spells alongside regular spells.
The remaster renamed many spells (e.g., Magic Missile became Force Barrage), changed spell levels to ranks, reorganized tradition lists, and updated mechanics. The browser includes both remaster and legacy versions so you can find spells under either name.
