Headless Xulgath
Level 11Abilities
The headless xulgath can sense nearby motion through vibrations and air movement
Trigger A creature within the monster's reach uses a manipulate action or a move action, makes a ranged attack, or leaves a square during a move action it's using. Effect The monster attempts a melee Strike against the triggering creature. If the attack is a critical hit and the trigger was a manipulate action, the monster disrupts that action. This Strike doesn't count toward the monster's multiple attack penalty, and its multiple attack penalty doesn't apply to this Strike.
30 feet. A creature that enters the area must attempt a DC 29 fortitude save. On a failure, the creature is Sickened 2, and on a critical failure, the creature is also Slowed 1 for as long as it is sickened. While within the aura, the creature takes a -2 circumstance penalty to saves to recover from the sickened condition. A creature that succeeds at its save is temporarily immune to all xulgaths' stenches for 1 minute.
Requirements The headless xulgath has a creature Grabbed
The headless xulgath slams the creature against a nearby surface. The creature takes (6d6+6) bludgeoning damage and must attempt a DC 30 fortitude save. Critical Success The creature is no longer grabbed. Failure The creature is Slowed 1 for 1 round. Critical Failure The creature is Stunned for 1 round.
The headless xulgath makes up to four claws Strikes, each against a different target. These attacks all count toward the headless xulgath's multiple attack penalty, but the penalty doesn't increase until after the headless xulgath makes all its attacks.
Requirements The monster's last action was a successful Strike that lists Grab in its damage entry, or the monster has a creature Grabbed or Restrained Effect If used after a Strike, the monster attempts to Grapple the creature using the body part it attacked with. This attempt neither applies nor counts toward the creature's multiple attack penalty. The monster can instead use Grab and choose one creature it's grabbing or restraining with an appendage that has Grab to automatically extend that condition to the end of the monster's next turn.
