Effect A spectral image of Duty's Soulshackle appears in a display nook, snaking out chains of dark energy toward each creature. Each living creature in the haunt must attempt a DC 16 will save or be Frightened 1 The haunt then rolls initiative.
Disable DC 18 acrobatics to avoid the chains, or DC 18 arcana, DC 18 occultism, or DC 18 religion to ritually disrupt the haunting. Each success reduces the haunt's actions by one. When the haunt has no more actions, it is disabled and the Scaling the Chain haunt triggers.
