Trigger A creature attempts to use the anima focus to open the way into the Eye of Desire --- Effect The Runewell of Lust's magic reaches out of the Eye of Desire and into the minds of all nearby creatures, creating vivid, dreamlike hallucinations fulfilling their greatest desires. Each creature in the area must attempt a DC 44 will save with the following effects. The hazard then manifests three phantoms of desire—incarnations of Runelord Sorshen empowered by certain beliefs that she hasn't actually turned over a proverbial new leaf and is playing a long-con game to take over the world. The phantoms and the hazard then roll initiative. --- Critical Success The creature understands the false nature of the hallucination but gleans useful insights from what they see, gaining a +2 status bonus to one Perception check, saving throw, or skill check made before the end of their next turn. Success The creature becomes Dazzled for 1 round, then recognizes the hallucination for what it is and blocks it from their mind. Failure The creature becomes lost in the hallucination, struggling to tell it apart from reality. The creature becomes dazzled and Slowed 1 as long as they remain in Sorshen's atrium. At the end of each of the creature's turns, it may attempt a new DC 44 will save to end this effect. Critical Failure As failure, but Slowed 2, and the Will save to end the effect is DC 48.
Description
Three pitchers pour water in an endless cascade, each decorated with a symbol of fertility, fecundity, and desire. The pitchers never empty, and the fountain below never overflows; the entire thing flickers with eerie red energy.
